Claiming a listing tells forsale.bz that you're the agent for that property. Once you've claimed it, your contact info shows on the listing, you can edit any field, and you can change the listing status (For Sale → Pending → Sold → Off Market). If your forsale.bz account email matches the email on your public agent profile, claims are approved instantly — otherwise we review within 24 hours.
Why claim a listing
- Contact info shown to buyers — your name, photo, phone, and brokerage appear on the listing page so inquiries route directly to you.
- Edit any field — fix typos, refresh photos, update the price, rewrite the description.
- Change status — mark Sold, mark Off Market, mark Pending. The change flows everywhere the listing shows up across the site.
- Delete the listing — useful when it was duplicated from a scrape and you want it gone.
How to claim a listing
- Sign in. Claiming requires an account so we can route the listing to you.
- Open the listing page (e.g. /listings/abc123). Scroll down past the gallery. You'll see a green Claim This Listing button.
- Click it. A modal opens with your information pre-filled if you've saved an agent profile in settings.
- Confirm the details. Submit.
Instant approval vs manual review
The shortcut: matching emails get instant approval
If the email on your forsale.bz account matches the email on your public agent profile, the claim goes through immediately with no waiting — the listing is yours.
We match on your verified sign-up email, not anything typed into the claim form. That's why instant approval can't be spoofed.
If your account email doesn't match a public profile, the claim lands in a manual review queue. We typically approve within 24 hours; you'll get an email when it's done. While you wait, the listing stays unclaimed for everyone else (no one else can claim it out from under you).
Editing your claimed listing
Once approved, the listing shows up on your dashboard under My Listings. From there you can:
- Edit details — price, description, beds / baths / area, location, features, photos.
- Change status — For Sale, Pending, Sold, Off Market.
- Delete the listing — irreversible. Use the bin icon on the listing's dashboard row.
Pro tip — save your agent info once
Open /dashboard/settings and fill in your agent profile fields (name, phone, license, brokerage). After that, every claim modal auto-fills from this saved info — you only type it once.

Someone else already claimed my listing.
Send us a feedback note from the floating button with the listing URL and the email that should own it. We'll investigate and reassign if the original claim wasn't legitimate.
I want to claim listings for my whole team.
Right now each listing is owned by a single account. Team-level ownership is on the roadmap; for now the cleanest workaround is a shared email per brokerage.
Can I un-claim a listing?
Yes — send us a feedback note. Admin un-claim is a manual operation today but it's fast.
