Our family retreat was designed to be an eco-friendly and self sufficient, it was constructed with local lumber and available renewable resources, it is fully insulated and designed for comfort by taking advantage of the prevailing winds. We currently have a 15,300 liter rain water cistern system, (no public sewer/water) with a semi-fresh water well as pack-up, and use a grey water leaching system for the garden plots. We recycle our all beer and wine bottles...
